The design of this traditional wooden rolling pin dates back to Victorian times when a chic kitchen would have a rolling pin with a revolving handle, but the more modest kitchen would have static handles like this. Personally I find the grooved ends make it really easy to handle, and obviously it is still cheaper than the spindle handled rolling pins. It also avoids any dirt traps and is easy to clean. Made from hard beech wood.
